Condolences

Condolence From: Wendy & John Rumney
Condolence: Elizabeth, Paul & family
We are sorry for the loss of your Mom & Grandma. My family met Irene & Michael when my mom (Linda Monroe) sold Tupperware with Irene Tupperware Miller way back when & have been friends ever since. She always had somewhere to go or someone to meet up with so my mom called her Madam Butterfly. If my mom had an overabundance of anything in the garden she would share with Irene & in return we got to taste a delicious creation. We loved seeing her beetle around town in her Harley Davidson power cart...many great memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you & your family at this time. Wendy, John, Alicia & Rebecca

Condolence: Dear Elizabeth and Paul,

Thinking of you and your family today and wishing you peace and comfort. I didn't have the opportunity of knowing your mother for very long but I'll never forget the first time I met her, I learned quickly that Irene was a out spoken, witty, charismatic and a very funny lady. I like her immediately and I am sadden that she is gone but know she is somewhere beautiful. She will be greatly missed at Richmond Hill Retirement Residence.

Sincerely,

Disiree Onistchenko

Condolence: Dear Elizabeth and Paul,
Thank you for letting me know of Irene's passing. I'm so happy that I was able to make my annual visit with her just a few weeks ago. Even with her diminished mobility she still retained her sense of humour.
I will always remember her kindness as the first Canadian friend that Cecily made on emigrating to Canada, and of course our whole family got to know her and her wonderful sense of humour and panache. We had a great time when at the age of 91, she visited me in Barbados.
Condolences to you all. May she rest in peace.

Condolence From: Eileen and Greg Rogers and the Rogers Family
Condolence: Elizabeth and Paul,
Recently the girls and I were just mentioning that we hadn't seen Irene Miller out and about driving her cart! When we moved into the (Andrews) house across the street from the Millers, Irene was right there welcoming us to the neighbourhood. Over the next 36 years I was greeted with a howdy neighbour from Irene while Mike would be puttering around in the beautiful garden. As the girls and our Michael were growing up she always asked how they were doing and was genuinely interested in the going-ons at 184 Richmond St. Irene was a bright, smart and inventive woman, she always had a special project or event to promote and was well connected to her community. She was a great example of a "good neighbour". In June I would look out my kitchen window to sees the beautiful peonies in the front garden and Irene often cut some to give to my mother for her birthday. I know Irene would be very happy to know that last month I walked across the street and cut a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her garden for my mom's 91st birthday. The Rogers' family and Richmond Hill will miss her.
Greg & Eileen, Erin, Meghan, Caitlin, Eileen, Bridget, Maureen, Michael & their families.
(The family is up at camp in Huntsville, we are sorry we will not be attending Irene's funeral, our thoughts and prayers will be with you that day.)

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Irene's passing. She was a great lady. I met her while selling Tupperware about 28 years ago. Even though I moved to Halliburton 16 years ago she kept in touch, even coming to visit us once. She called me at Christmas and usually for my birthday, until this year. Amazing that she managed so well as long as she did. So glad to have known her and that I was kept informed. I will be thinking of the family on Thursday.

Condolence: Elizabeth and Paul. So sorry to hear this news. What a woman!! I was just thinking of her the other day. She was a light that cast no shadow, just warmth and an inspirational path. Loved the random phone calls I would receive ... 'just checking up'!

Love to all of you.
