Mike, I can't even think of a thing to say to you at this time. I just wish peace for you – acceptance and the knowledge that you will soon be together again… It will seem like a long time for you – but for her it will be an instant.
I loved Diane. She was so funny and practical and silly and beautiful. Her joy of life, when I met her at 17, just surpassed anyone I had ever met.
We weren’t extremely close, but we were connected through Mary Ann. We went to discos in the 70’s and the cottage in the 90’s and 2000’s…. and we always met for our birthday lunches.
She was extraordinarily kind to my Mom. It was just the way Diane was… a beautiful, kind soul – always caring about the other person.
I will miss her. And I know you will keep her in your heart forever.

If she had made it to her birthday, we would have been friends for 62 years! I am overwhelmed with the years of memories, it’s so hard to imagine she isn’t here anymore.
She was my best and lifelong friend. No one will ever compare with her or be able to replace her in any way. We were always polar opposites in everyway but we always managed to agree to disagree. She was always there for me and everyone she knew. When I got sick, she was always on the phone everyday just checking in because I couldn’t have visitors.
She was always so kind, caring, loving, bossy, funny a real pain at times too. I am so luck to be able to have worked with her as well over the years. She was a treasure in my life and there will always be an emptiness in my heart now that she has gone. I always told her that we have been together in past lives and I am sure we will be together again in the next.
Farewell my friend, until we meet again. Your loving friend Mary-Ann

I only met Diane and Mike and Harley about 3 years ago through my friend Peter when we were in Myrtle Beach but I'm glad to have known her. Diane was a great cook and they both loved to entertain. I appreciate your hospitality and I am so very sorry for your loss Mike.
