A loving and beloved wife, mother, and Oma; Jeanne was born in Brantford, Ontario to parents Charles and Rose.
She was the youngest of ten children: George, Eva, Jessie, Betty, Marjorie, Edward, Henry, Albert, Violet, and Jeanne.
There was a 21-year age difference between the eldest and youngest child!

Jeanne trained in lab technology at Brantford General Hospital, studying microbiology, hematology, biochemistry, and blood banking. She eventually moved to Toronto and began working in the biochemistry lab at Toronto General Hospital. During this time, Jeanne lived with her older sister Jessie and nephew Dennis on Indian Grove.

While working as a senior technologist at TGH, Jeanne met Konrad Weggel and they married in 1966.
Jeanne stayed home to raise their 3 daughters: Christina, Katrina (Peggy), and Alexandra (Josh).

Konrad and Jeanne took their young children on many trips, either camping and canoeing all over Ontario and as far as New Brunswick, or to Germany and Austria to visit Konrad’s family.

Jeanne was thrilled to welcome her first grandchild Sam in 2007, followed by Kata, Liam, and Jeannie.

Jeanne passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 26, at home as she would have wished and with her husband and daughter by her side.
She will be forever and dearly missed by us all, especially her older sister Violet (Edwin), her best friend and niece Barbara with whom she grew up, and her many cherished nieces and nephews.
