Ubi and I ,loved going to the classic car shows in Stouffville, with his yellow 1951 mercury pickup! He would attend the Stouffville museum in August and Stouffville teva in September! This was an annual event to get together with Other people of same interest.would see all type of models. He would even call his friends to attend with their classic beauties. Maybe even inspired them to purchase a classic themselves! We enjoyed the gatherings with the friends and classic cars and trucks! He told me a funny story when he lived in Italy he went to work and was saving up for a car. The car he wanted ,was the fiat Albert. His mother for his birthday went to purchase a yellow fiat500 ,with UBI’s money! Well that car had a sudden Tran formation with a different motor that was very fast, that no one ever knew except for him and his trusted mechanic! He kept the motor part always lock! He really loved his new improved yellow fiat500 and dreamed about the Albert!

A funny story was told by Ubi about his black dog. This dog was very special because when Ubi used to ride his bike the dog would climb on his back! I would ask him how was this possible? He told me that the dog would put his hind paws in his belt and his front paws on his shoulders with his face close to his neck! I found this amazing, because, most dogs wouldn’t even consider doing this! These two had a very special bond and trust! But I am not surprised, because everytime we would go shopping somewhere and a dog was present they used to go towards him and he would pet them!! On one of his service call, the owner’s dog tried to get under the sink while Ubi was working on it! Years later the same dog, got so excited to see that Ubi had returned to do another service call! The dog owner was puzzled on his dog’s reaction!

One funny story that he told me was the time in Italy when his mother and cousin Donatella, went chestnut picking in the fall! They set out one day’s journey in his yellow fiat500; Once there the mother wouldn’t stop picking the chestnuts! they pickup so many that the trunk was full and so was the back seat of the car! Donatella had to lay down on top of the chestnut. Every time they hit a pothole in the road they would loose a couple of chestnuts! All the way home! Once at home all the relatives came by to take some home! I will always love you! And miss your wonderful story telling!
